This series arise from the need to find a new experience when drawing. It started with no previous planning. I grabbed the charcoal, I took a deep breath, made a couple of movements to warm up, and brought it directly to the canvas, without regard, without any subtlety, I applied more pressure against the support and I let my hand do its thing ... the charcoal broke, and I liked it so I kept drawing with what was left, it broke again, I liked it more… it broke again… so I drew with the remains… and finished. The feeling of uncertainty and risk is present throughout the entire process. While something breaks, something else is being created. Every process includes its opposites (birth-death, union-separation).

Esta serie surgió de la necesidad de encontrar una experiencia nueva al dibujar. Comenzó sin una planeación previa. Agarré el carboncillo, respiré, hice un par de movimientos previos, como de calentamiento, y lo llevé directamente a la tela, sin miramientos, sin sutileza alguna, le subí la presión contra el soporte y dejé que mi mano hiciera lo suyo… el carbón se rompió y me gustó, seguí dibujando con lo que quedaba, se volvió a romper, me gustó más… se rompió de nuevo… dibujé con los restos… y terminé. La sensación de incertidumbre y riesgo está presente durante todo el proceso. Mientras algo se rompe, algo se está creando. Todo proceso incluye a sus opuestos (nacimiento-muerte, unión-separación).
